Job Description

What is the opportunity?
You contribute to strategic business priorities by successfully creating and retaining clients, leveraging knowledge and expertise to assist the business and enhancing customer loyalty. Manage complex and/or higher risk accounts through effective relationship and risk management practices. Provide solutions and business advice designed to satisfy the bank’s risk requirements while maintaining a consistent focus on retaining long-term RBC Financial Group relationships. Develop relationships with service partners, group partners and professional groups to optimize resolution success as well as business opportunities and referrals.


What will you do?
Provide a continuous-improvement approach to achieving superior client experience. Personally demonstrate commitment to teamwork by introducing clients to RBC wide services and expertise through referrals.
Take ownership of client problems at first point of contact and ensure clients are treated with respect; be highly empathetic and maintain strong professional relationships.
Maximize opportunity spotting with all clients to enhance retention, referrals, and contribute to superior client care.
Build, expand and leverage good working relationships with district, field and risk officers; create a sense of urgency and foster an environment of early identification
Maximize the use of technology to maintain data integrity, documenting all relevant client discussions/negotiation contacts and results.
Ensure good portfolio management practices through effective management of expired credits by expiry date.
Establish and manage your personal development plan to ensure skills/knowledge/accreditations are up-to-date and meet position requirements; identify and leverage learning opportunities during work out and restructuring of files.

What do you need to succeed?
Well-developed understanding of insolvency practices, including multi-jurisdictional issues
Strong financial analysis, risk assessment, risk management and negotiation skills
Knowledge of RBC Credit Policy and Business/Corporate Banking strategies, products and services
Effective interpersonal, team and communication skills
Solid business acumen with an understanding of customer specific business imperatives
Complete fluency in French and English
