Job Description

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dieppe Airport is looking to fill the position of Front Office Manager.
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensuring guest satisfaction and resolving guests issues promptly.
Maintaining employee satisfaction and acting as a liaison between line staff & management.
Monitoring the quality of employee performance.
Assists in departments as required at peak times/pressure periods in order to achieve the smooth and efficient running of the department.
Performing administrative duties as assigned (scheduling, ordering, inventory).
Observes all departments, public areas, and external areas of the hotel, checking cleanliness and supervisory/staffing levels within departments.
Check staffing levels within departments in accordance with the next day’s business, contacting departmental managers/staff as needed with regard to changes required in scheduling.
To research, recommend and liaise with the General Manager regarding procedures to improve the overall efficiency of the department and to carry out project work/prepare reports as requested.
SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
A professional and pleasant personality is essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the efforts of all staff working in the hotel and make decisions, in the absence of the General Manager, affecting staff and guests, as to the safe, secure, and efficient operation of the Hotel. This individual must have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills. Must be able to solve problems objectively without becoming defensive. Excellent time management skills are also necessary and good knowledge of the front desk function of a hotel. Applicant must be bilingual in both official languages (French/English).
