Job Description

As a key member of the Sales organization, the successful candidate is primarily responsible for performing a variety of duties aimed at managing client relationships, as well as developing new business from existing clients. In pursuit of providing exceptional customer service, as a member of the Inside Sales team, you will act as the subject matter expert in deploying your product knowledge expertise to close sales transactions, respond to general product inquiries and resolve price and product discrepancies. Moreover, your role will include fulfilling inbound and outbound orders placed from the call queue, advise on shipping arrangements, respond to price inquiries and attend to general customer inquiries daily.In addition, you will work closely with the Team Lead to identify new customer opportunities by up-selling and managing existing client retention, working with our clients to identify their current and future procurement needs and work alongside the operations team to optimally fulfill orders, on time and on budget. As an Inside Sales Associate, you will engage in a variety of tasks including project management, strategic planning, relationship management, negotiation, and consultative selling to create “win-win” opportunities for the Company. This incumbent will report directly to the Order Desk Team Lead.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Place incoming and outgoing calls to ensure orders are fulfilled. Reviews orders for accuracy and completion.
Place outbound calls to promote flyer items for quick sale.
Responsible for upselling items in accordance with meeting company margins and targets.
Check on inventory levels to ensure requested product is readily available for sale.
Computes price and any appropriate discounts as approved by Management
Creates sales order and ensures the appropriate follow-thru with sales, purchasing and operations.
Works alongside the inside sales team to identify and resolve customer complaints.
Ensures that customer information is correct and up-to-date in the system.
Checks customer account for credit and outstanding payments.
Maintain, nurture and grow existing key portfolio annually in accordance with established business plan and sales objectives to increase Company revenue and profit.
Works closely with the Order Desk Team Lead to recommend new and innovative products identified during the sales process.
Works alongside the Team lead to develop new strategies & ideas to accelerate customer growth.
Gathers and shares competitive intelligence continuously to assist in market growth and the development of IHL’s product categories.
Works alongside the Operations team to ensure high service levels for our customers.
Ensure immediate and future procurement needs are met, replenishment fulfilment needs are addressed, and new opportunities are identified with key accounts.
Periodically update Sales Manager of any account developments (as requested), including providing a summary of activities to date.
Maintain and follow thru on customers’ issues and ensure internal customer care tickets are closed on a timely basis.
Provide customer service support, assistance with unidentified procurement needs improvements, and offered in-depth product knowledge to customers (occasional visit to Customers’ sites may be required).
