Job Description

Lorik Tool and Automation Inc. is a custom automation builder and integrator located in Brantford, Ontario. We have been working with our customers for over 30 years to design, build, and install various innovative pieces of equipment for the Automotive, Pharmaceutical & Consumer industries.
Description:
Reporting to Management & Project Managers, the Purchasing / Inventory Coordinator performs all aspects of purchasing for the company and for managing the inventory levels.
We are a busy manufacturing company that is looking for the right candidate to fill this position. You must be a hardworking, dedicated and detail-oriented person with good oral and written communication skills
Responsibilities and Duties
Work with company department managers to determine purchasing needs and requirements for ongoing projects.
Place purchase orders & monitor them with vendors, couriers & custom brokers to maintain on-time delivery.
Work closely with management team to ensure all purchase orders are properly received and quantities are accurate.
Order stock, non-stock materials and services systematically to avoid material shortages.
Work with current suppliers while sourcing and cultivating relationships with new ones.
Input and maintain a database of all purchased parts/products
Be the champion of inventory accuracy.
Troubleshoot any/all challenges that arise
Additional responsibilities
Always look for improvements in flow of material (handling), shipping cost and material cost.
Be an advocate for proper inventory practices on the floor.
Think outside the box and continue to look for ways to improve processes and systems.
Attend meetings
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelors or Community College degree an asset
2+ years of Purchasing and/or Inventory Management experience
Very analytical and proficient in database management
Strong with Excel – Experience with a computerized inventory management program an asset
Excellent communication skills, both in oral and written medium
Superior planning and organization skills with high attention to detail.
Proficient in querying databases to generate MS Excel spreadsheet reports
Experience in minimum/maximum stock level management
Strong negotiation skills
Works very well in a team environment
