Health Human Resources Information System (HHRIS)

The Labrador-Grenfell Regional Health Authority is responsible for a full range of services including community health, long-term care and acute care for Northern Newfoundland and all of Labrador. The health authority operates accredited facilities including three hospitals, in St. Anthony, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, and Labrador City, three community health centres, 14 community clinics and two long term care facilities. This position reports to the Regional Director of Human Resources.
Qualifications:
Graduation from university with a Baccalaureate Degree in Business Administration/Commerce, preferably with a Human Resources concentration supplemented by considerable human resources experience is required; preferably with information management systems
Candidates will have a demonstrated knowledge of Human Resources practices and procedures, and Meditech payroll processing. Information Technology may also be considered;
Candidates should possess strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and leadership skills with a demonstrated interest and propensity for technology;
Familiarity with provincial HR data processes, MIS guidelines, and CIHI reporting would be an asset;
The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory certificate of conduct.
Duties (include but not limited to):
Reporting to the Regional Director of Human Resources this position is accountable for providing leadership and support in relation to the development, implementation, maintenance, and utilization of human resources information technology for Labrador-Grenfell Health;
The incumbent will work closely with the Provincial Coordinator of the HHRIS Project to ensure for the most efficient and effective means of implementation;
The incumbent will play an integral role on the HR Information Technology Team, comprised of members from Human Resources, Information Management, and Finance;
The team will determine information technology requirements for the Human Resources department and will develop and implement various solutions to promote efficiency of operations and achievement of strategic and program priorities;
The incumbent will develop and track indicators and metrics and will be responsible for presentation of information through reports, presentations and dashboards/scorecards.
The incumbent is also responsible for satisfying ad hoc requests for information from Senior Executive and Government.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining current HR information technology, systems security, ensuring data quality and integrity, end user training, and report development and generation;
The incumbent will participate in generating and analyzing data that will support the Strategic HR Directions of the Department of Health and Community Services and the Health Authority;
Could be assigned to special projects that include recruitment or other administrative duties
Other related duties.
Salary:
Salary is in accordance with the Hay Management Pay Scales (HL19), plus the applicable Labrador Allowance.
Hours of Work:
75 Hours bi-weekly; Monday - Friday.
