Senior Manager, ATB Insurance
Purpose:
The Senior Manager is responsible for increasing overall production through educating our partners within ATB, deepening business relationships and recruiting and coaching high-caliber Advisors to meet the expectation of the ATB brand. The Senior Manager is responsible for supporting the ATB Insurance Advisors in their assigned region in the sale of life and living benefit products. Your business unit would be ATB Wealth, while also working in many other areas of business opportunity within ATB such as Business and Agriculture and Retail Financial Services. You will use the tools and resources provided in order to educate and enhance the understanding of insurance with your direct reports and referral partners.
Responsibilities:
Proactively meet with ATB Advisors to build rapport, understand their business and use PPI/ATB resources (Toolkit, HPN, Shared Google Drive, etc.) to help them grow their business.
Work with Advisors on potential cases and assist them in preparing a customized client solution.
Recruit Advisors to the ATB model that ideally have the CFP designation and a minimum of three years independent experience.
Provide Advisors with the most recent, industry-related education including, but not limited to, compliance.
Lead the ATB Insurance Advisors business results by analyzing their insurance sales, being the bridge between ATB-PPI and assist on education delivery within ATB.
Maintain industry knowledge and professional certifications by attending insurance seminars, industry meetings and Advisor conferences as necessary.
Work with ATB HR and the PPI business partners to follow the orientation and training manual to ensure a consistent Advisor onboarding experience.
Recommend product, sales strategies and concepts to ATB Advisors.
Navigate a high-net-worth case through the Director, Advanced Sales and engage the Vice-President, Sales of Advisory as required.
Assist Advisors in developing communication strategies and alternate solutions when case issues are escalated.
Develop and maintain relationships within the ATB divisions, including Business and Agriculture and Retail Financial Services.
Create thought provoking presentations that can be used by the ATB Insurance Advisors within their branches, as well as, to their ATB referral partners outside of the branches.
Provide training to ATB Insurance Advisors on the VDI, KYC, BlueSun CRM system, ATB processes, etc.
Lead team members by aligning their individual and collective efforts to deliver on PPI and ATB’s commitment to professional and career development.
Provide leadership that inspires and supports individuals and the team to meet their goals that are in alignment with PPI and ATB’s culture of teamwork and collaboration.
Using the 11 ATB Guiding Principles, establish a culture, along with working processes and procedures focused on delivering a superior client experience. Job Requirements
Education, Experience and Skills:
Undergraduate degree in a business related program desired
Minimum of 5 years experience in the marketing and sales of life insurance or living benefits
Minimum of 3 years experience in the management of people with a demonstrated ability to foster a positive work environment and help others achieve their goals
Must hold a valid Life license
Industry designations with a preference towards the CFP
Proven sales and marketing skills
Knowledge of the local mark
