We are currently seeking a Group Support Legal Assistant to join our team based in our Charlottetown, PE office.

Position Summary:
To provide high quality legal administrative support and assist in managing the practices of lawyers within various departments.
Candidate Profile:
Maintains high level of confidentiality;
The ability to provide logistical support for projects;
Strong organizational and time management skills;
The ability to manage multiple calendars;
The ability to take initiative;
Excellent legal and administrative skills with the ability to multi-task;
Excellent attention to detail and superior proofreading skills;
Above average word processing skills, particularly in Microsoft Word;
The ability to deal effectively with clients and have excellent written and oral communication skills;
The ability to build and maintain strong client relationships;
The willingness and ability to co-ordinate and assist with guidance to junior lawyers and law students;
Must be willing to work flexible hours when required;
Successful completion of a legal assistant, paralegal services or administrative program at the post-secondary level is preferred; and
Prior work experience as a legal assistant or paralegal would be considered an asset.
