UBCO is currently recruiting a team of energetic, passionate, and creative full-time (35 hours/week) Second Cooks throughout various Food Service locations on campus! Our Second Cooks mainly work in our Spoon, Rocket, Sunshine, and Picnic locations. Withthe direction of the Sous Chef, the Second Cooks are our rock stars who are responsible for day to day production in our kitchens. They are closely involved in working the assigned line or station, doing food preparation work, and providing training as required to Second and Third Cooks.

Please note this position is sessional, ongoing each year from September to the end of April (May, June, July, August off) but will start approximately August 19th in 2019 for training. As position is 8 months, monthly salary to start is $2,645.00 ($17.44/hour).

You have a Certificate in cooking from a recognized cooking institution and a Food Safe Level 1 Certificate (or willing to obtain one)

Job Duties:
Participates in day to day production

Qualifications:
Certificate in cooking from a recognized cooking institution, Food Safe Level 1 Certificate (or willing to obtain one), Grade 12 education and two years related experience, including cooking in a food services environment with a variety of cuisines and specialty items or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary: $2,645.00 /month
