Job Description


Recruiting new employees within a manufacturing environment; including developing job descriptions, finding, screening, interviewing and making recommendations regarding their employment.
Developing and implementing policies and procedures related to working conditions, terms of employment, performance management, disciplinary procedures and absenteeism management.
Supporting Management in developing and implementing disciplinary actions.
Analyzing training needs, developing training programs in conjunction with Department Managers and maintaining/updating training materials
employee files as necessary including new hire orientation programs
Training new employees, as applicable
Advising on pay and other remuneration issues including rate structures, pay rates, pay increases, promotions and benefits.
Monitoring and advising on all legislation or other legal requirements regarding employment, working conditions and the workplace
Providing research support for special projects.
Conducting and recording incident/accident investigations.
Providing leadership to JHSC including co-coordinating meetings, workplace inspections and hazard assessment.
Acting as facilitator during MOL and customer audits.
Maintaining employee files
Managing and controlling WSIB claims.
Managing and controlling Group Insurance claims
Maintaining and developing open communication with employees.
Conducting daily walk throughs of work areas.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 /year
Experience:
HR manufacturing environment: 3 years (Required)
