Reporting to: VP, Medical and Regulatory Affairs
Two positions available: Ideal TA: Ophthalmology and Oncology
Location: Field based - GTA preferred / car eligible

The Strategic Healthcare Partner is a senior (Director level) field based role that could be national or regional, based on the internal need of the team, with the overall end to end accountability for priority external stakeholders (10-15) and/or therapeutic area experts. The Strategic Healthcare Partner will co-develop and personalize engagement with stakeholders and Roche in a highly differentiated way.


The Strategic Healthcare Partner is accountable for developing and executing the respective engagement strategy and PoA respectively for the assigned external priority stakeholders, in alignment with the Squad strategic plans/Roche disease area strategy (above Squad)
Is the main point of contact and responsible for coordinating and directly executing all strategic activities within a given Squad, across Squads (i.e. at therapeutic area level) or activities related to Global teams (early development teams and global Medical Affairs) for the priority stakeholders.
Ultimately assessing and directly responding to all relevant stakeholder needs in a holistic way, driving PHC innovation, external and internal networks and shaping environment in order to truly "doing now what patients need next faster than ever before."
Strategic Healthcare Partners collaborate with their Squad and the Field Lead by providing insights and recommended actions linking to the highest value propositions of the stakeholders
The Strategic Healthcare Partner will also collaborate with their respective field teams & other chapter team members by sharing insights from the relevant priority stakeholders to further enable the team to achieve their goals.
Will think broadly about the health care and TA ecosystem and provide insights both internally and externally to support the North Star for the organization for the future.
The Strategic Healthcare Partner performance management will be part of a self-managed community where they will not be part of a traditional reporting structure. Clear goals and expectations will be driven by the needs of the Squads, field pod and respective global teams.

PhD, MD or candidates with post graduate degrees are preferred
At least 3 years or Medical Affairs or similar in a leadership role is required.
Ophthalmology background for one role is preferred
Oncology background for the second role is preferred.
Knowledge of available digital tools to improve patient care is a definite asset.
Ability to listen, engage, co-create and network are crucial in this role.
Excellent command of English.
