Winnipeg, MBDGCL is a world leader manufacturer and distributor of hose fittings, related accessories, and tank truck products. The company requires the full-time services of qualified individuals to join our manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for purchasing, production planning, and supplier relations development.
Duties Include: Managing, approving, acquisition, and buying of good and services Global sourcing Optimizing production planning and managing master schedule Quotation and sourcing process for new products Implement training programs with suppliers Implement supplier cost reduction initiatives Implement MRP system improvements Develop supplier metrics, work with IT to develop automated tracking routines Ensure timely supply of materials and components Ensure timely delivery of product Working with production and existing suppliers to find areas of improvement Develop training strategies and growth plans for staff About The Ideal Candidate: BSc in Supply Chain or related educational experience Minimum 3 years’ experience in Supply Chain role – Buyer, Supply Chain Specialist or related Strong commitment to customer service Strong initiative and ability to organize, balance, and manage changing priorities in order to meet strict deadlines Strong attention to detail Experience with MRP system including Bills of Material and production routing would be an asset Excellent written and oral communication skills Highly motivated and demonstrated track record of success in planning, problem preventing and solving, leading people, and analysis of information Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and work with minimal supervision Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, an asset The ability to analyze procedural and system problems and make effective recommendations Proficient in computer software applications including Microsoft Office™ software The desire and ability to engage in continuing education and skills upgrading Why You Will Love Working Here: Competitive Compensation Profit Sharing plan and DPSP Medical and other benefits Continuous learning culture Work for a world leading manufacturer and distributor Provide quality products, rapid delivery, and superior customer service Leader in our chosen market
