In 2018, RMG was listed as one of Canada's Fastest Growing Companies (McLean's) with a five year revenue growth of 253%.Role Summary: The Purchasing Coordinator will work closely with the other purchasing staff to complete all day-to-day purchasing tasks including issuing POs, negotiating competitive pricing with vendors, as well as material procurement and fulfillment. A successful Purchasing Coordinator will have exceptional attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Overall Responsibilities: Issue PO’s to vendors for stock and special-order itemsObtain quotations and negotiate competitive pricing on behalf of staff/customersWork with Riverside staff to resolve performance request issuesKeep sales/scheduling up to date on changing ETA’s for their special ordersFollow up on purchase orders to ensure orders are received in a timely fashionPerform a minimum amount of receiving related tasks / trouble shootingUpdate vendor pricing in the systemWork closely with vendors to resolve delivery and quality related issuesPerform random inventory checks and stock adjustmentsWork closely with Senior and Junior buyer to identify new vendors and savings opportunitiesOther duties as assignedRequired Skills, Education, and Competencies: 5-6 years purchasing experienceExperience with Microsoft Office software, Seradex, AccpacExcellent attention to detailAbility to discern value and qualityAbility to prioritize competing projectsExceptional communication and negotiation skillsExcellent organization skillsAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced environmentCompensation & Perks!Competitive hourly wage based on experienceComprehensive Group Insurance Plan, and health and dental benefitsCompany RRSP program with company matching.Monthly Pizza LunchesWe thank you for your interest, but only those candidates chosen for an interview will be contacted.Riverside Millwork Group will provide individual accommodation where needed, keeping in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and the Ontario Human Rights Code.
