Graphics Design & Design Verification Senior Engineer


THE ROLE:
We are seeking an experienced individual who has a passion for the design and/or verification of computer graphics hardware processing. You will be a key member of an small agile team developing, verifying, and delivering IP cores for next generation graphics. Our designs have significant complexity and our designers enjoy challenges in making speed, area and low power tradeoffs while driving functionality to closure. Our design verification UVM/SV testbenches are designed with re-use and best practices in mind. We use state-of-the-art tools & methodologies and deliver into cutting-edge silicon technologies.


THE PERSON:
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Strong verbal & written communication
Comfortable working closely with others as part of a small team
Needs to be a self-starter and able to independently drive tasks to completion
Enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment located in Markham, and interacting with multiple sites in North America and worldwide


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Writing design specifications & design verification test plans
Designing complex logic systems using arbiters, FIFOs, FSMs, TLB, caches, ..
Writing high-quality RTL meeting functional, timing, & power requirements
Linting RTL and clock-domain crossings
Coding UVM/SV test-benches
Writing test stimulus for 100% functional & code coverage
Debugging complex system-level simulations
Applying ECOs
Modelling the design in C++
Potentially emulating the design on FPGA-based systems
Resolving silicon bring-up issues
Working with leads to develop practical schedules


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Several years of relevant ASIC design & DV experience
Graphics processing design and DV experience is highly desired
Proficient coding with System Verilog & simulating with VCS
Demonstrated programming skills in C/C++
Familiar with Linux programming and scripting, in Perl or similar
Solid knowledge of UVM, assertions, and formal verification methods


ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Master’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is preferred
